COR-EX

The VAC-EX Skid steer COR-EX unit is the ideal solution for keyhole technology repair. The need for extra manually operated equipment such as Jack Hammers or excavators to remove the tarmac/ concrete /stone surface is eliminated, making it both a safer and cheaper option. The Vac-Ex Skid steer Core offers a whole array of applications including:

SACRIFICIAL ANODE INSTALLATION
TEST HOLES (POT-HOLING)
SOIL SAMPLING (ENVIRONMENTAL)
LOW PRESSURE SERVICE CUT OFFS

In operation

  • 2m turning radius
  • Ideal for tight working areas (Footpaths, car spaces)
  • Long working life with fewer moving parts
  • ‘Plug and Play’ options for faster coring
  • No reversing of trailers
  • Cheaper alternative to static mounted units
  • Good mobility and precision
  • No need for extensive training
  • Large no. of additional tooling available – mixer, breaker and sweeper
  • Remote control option available
  • Pilot-less core

KEYHOLE TECHNOLOGY

Keyhole repair is a technique that can quickly and cost-effectively core an 18” diameter hole through asphalt, asphalt-concrete and reinforced concrete road systems and pavements.

The technique enables contractors to vacuum excavate, view subsurface conditions or repair underground plant from the road surface using long-handled tools, backfill the excavation and replace the core (cookie) to create a permanent reinstatement, all with minimum disruption.

Advantages

  • 50% reduction in excavation and pavement restoration costs
  • Smaller openings required resulting in less disruption and cost
  • Safe exposure of services through vacuum excavation
  • Reduction in underground service damage and disruption
  • Physically less demanding
  • Reduction in potential for workspace injury
  • Faster, less intrusive process
  • Need for re-instatement gang eliminated
  • Quicker reinstatement
